Established in 1997, FIREWISE 2000, LLC was established to provide specialized fire protection planning expertise to address the increased threat to life and property in the Wildland-Urban Interface. FIREWISE 2000, LLC works primarily within California but has also consulted in other states and internationally. We specialize in developing fire protection plans for residential & commercial development in high fire hazard areas.
Our associates have extensive experience working in the wildland fire environment with specialized expertise in vegetation/fuel management, fire behavior analysis, fire modeling and application of the fire codes in building in high fire hazard areas. Each member of our staff has 30+ years experience in various fields in the fire service. such as fire prevention and code enforcement, forestry and fuels management, fire suppression, and resource protection. We provide a good product that meets or exceeds the standards required by the state and local fire codes.
Our associates are Certified in the County of San Diego as CEQA Fire Protection Planners and are highly recommended by other fire agencies state-wide. With offices in northern and southern California, we are available throughout the state to provide wildland fire protection plans for all types of projects.
